Our story begins with the development of the very first silica gel for protein stabilisation of beer. The inventor was Dr Karl Raible, who in 1961, patented the application. While similar patent applications have since been filed across the world, it was at this point that Stabifix Brauerei-Technik GmbH & Co. KG was founded. Headquartered in Munich, Germany, today Stabifix is a global leader in stabilisation and clarification products and solutions for the brewing industry, and with the name Stabifix being synonymous with silica gel for beer stabilisation.
